The Temecula Valley Woman’s Club reached their goal of donating 2000 pounds of food to local food banks this year. Through its “Food for Flowers”
campaign begun by club president, Gail Fitzpatrick, TVWC members are encouraged to bring canned and non-perishable food items to the can
monthly meeting allowing them to be eligible for the table floral centerpieces. The ladies bring their food contributions and enter their names in a fishbowl to be drawn at the end of the meeting. This campaign has been so successful that the 2000 pound goal was met at the September meeting even with 2 months off for the summer. The flowers have been generously donated by Fitzpatrick, who along with her husband Randy, make and deliver the arrangements each month for ten to twelve tables. The Temecula Valley Woman’s Club is continuing to make a difference to those in need in our area.
