The Premier Soccer Club in the Valley

Starting in 2010, FC Murrieta became Murrieta Surf. This was not just a change in name, but a complete change in approach for Murrieta Youth Soccer League’s club program. The goal was clear, create the premier soccer club in the Temecula/Murrieta valley by aligning ourselves with one of the top soccer clubs in the country, San Diego Surf.

One of the first changes made was the hiring of Steve Myles as the Director of Soccer Operations for Murrieta Surf. Coach Myles is a phenomenal coach/manager with a wealth of experience. He has an extensive background including but not limited to the following: Assistant Coach – New England Revolution (MLS), Head Coach – LA Galaxy US Development Academy, Assistant Director of Coaching – David Beckham Academy, and much more. Along with Coach Myles, Murrieta Surf brought numerous other high level personnel to upgrade the staff and league.

With this talented group, Murrieta Surf provides a competitive soccer experience for the committed soccer player. As a club, we will strive to create an environment that will provide each player with a valuable learning experience, an opportunity to improve their soccer skills, an entry into higher levels of soccer, and a chance to be part of a premier program.

Over the past several years, these changes have brought about significant results in tournaments across the country. Murrieta Surf went deep into State Cup last year and expects to do even better this year. Surf teams have won twelve tournaments in the past 8 months and been finalists in another six.

This month, we are premiering a state of the art website for our families along with holding tryouts for our upcoming 2014-2015 season. We are also continuing our strong partnership with the LA Galaxy, which allows our coaches and players to get special benefits and training with the best MLS team in the country.

If you know a child who loves soccer and wants to check us out, you can go to our website for details about tryouts. Should you have any questions about MYSL or Surf Soccer, feel free to contact me at .
