SCAG-logo

On Sunday, April 11 2010, Hospice of the Valley will present the First Annual Scott Crane Memorial Gala at Wilson Creek Winery. The event will be a celebration of Scott’s immeasurable contributions to our Valley focusing on the five pillars that guided his life: integrity, honesty, respect, humility and advocacy.
Scott, who passed away in November 2009, is remembered by many as the CEO of Southwest Healthcare System and as Director of Development for Universal Health Services, Inc. But Scott also served his community through a wide range of organization having served as Chair or the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Finance Council of Saint Martha’s Catholic Church, a Director of the Southwest California Legislative Council, the Murrieta Temecula Group, the Economic Development Corp of Southwest California, Commerce Bank of Temecula Valley and Hospice of the Valley.
In addition to his volume of community service, Scott and his wife of 23 years, Sheila, raised five children in whom they instilled that same inspiration for community involvement as well as enjoying their family time together. Scott was an avid outdoor enthusiast who, with his family, enjoyed sports, skiing, time at the beach and surfing. He also loved music, was an oenophile and a noted history buff who traced his own ancestry to Col. John Crane, a revolutionary who participated in the Boston Tea Party.
The Memorial Gala will benefit Hospice of the Valley with a portion of the proceeds going to the Scott Crane Children’s Education Fund. The event will be held from 5 – 9 pm at Wilson Creek Winery. Tickets are $100 /person and sponsorships are still available. For more information on this event please contact Hospice of the Valley at 951-200-7800.
