Professional Woman’s Roundtable Honors Recipients

On June 4, 2009, the Professional Woman’s Roundtable honored their scholarship recipients Leah Applewhite, Krystal Thompson, and Anmarie Economos. PWR goes through many applicant submissions, which includes an essay that the applicant writes about their biggest life challenge and how they have overcome and succeeded in Life.
Leah Applewhite was nominated by an employee at Abbott. She attends University of Phoenix full-time and raises her two year-old. She recently obtained her AA degree and is now studying for her BA.
Krystal Thompson just graduated from Murrieta Valley HS with a 3.5 GPA. She plans to attend CSUSM as a communications major. She is involved in the community in many ways and has been on the ASB at her high school for three years, has organized the Red Ribbon Rallies, represented the Make-AWish foundation and she walks annually in the Relay for Life.
Annmarie Economos just graduated from Great Oak high schools with honors. She plans to attend UCSB as a marine biology major. She is involved in Trick or Treat for UNICEF, Cards for Kids, Relay for Life and she participates in fund-raisers for her high school. All while achieving a 4.3 GPA in the IB program. The IB program is described as being the most rigorous course offered at the high school level. She is now anxious to move forward and continue her education at UCSB.
The Professional Women’s Roundtable (PWR) is a non-profit, 501c3, women’s organization, dedicated to helping women succeed through mentoring by example, powerful speakers, educational workshops and of course networking!
The Professional Women’s Roundtable invites all professional women and PWR members to attend the meetings every first Thursday of the month at the Temecula Sizzler on Jefferson.
