temecula_city_websiteThe City of Temecula will launch, on June 29th 2009, a new look and feel to the website to support the next generation of interactive web technologies. The new front page includes an enhanced Google search engine for ease of navigation, and features new content such as a City Calendar, tip of the week, weather and an online subscriptions service (E-Subscriptions) allowing the public to sign up and receive City news and information via email and other online services and information. Additionally, the City will support a community of social network sites like Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. The new features of this website will be facilitating multi-media design, information sharing and Usercentered design. This website will continue to be the foundation for numerous e-government services that will provide a 24 hour city hall presence on the internet. These initiatives are part of an overall effort by the City of Temecula to provide continuous process improvement to city operations.
Chuck Washington, the Temecula City Council Technology Liaison said that, “This website design puts power into the hands of city residents so they will easily obtain the services and information they need and appreciate.” The new site can be viewed at www.cityoftemecula.org.
