Massage Envy® Hosts Massage for the Cure Benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

Relax and support a great cause at the same time.  On Tuesday, September 14, 2010, Massage Envy hosts Massage for the Cure, a nationwide event in which Massage Envy teams up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help win the fight against breast cancer. During this one-day event, 620 Massage Envy clinics across the country will offer $49 one-hour therapeutic massage sessions, and donate $15 from each massage directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Massage Envy has 11 clinics in the Inland Empire, with Spa locations in Temecula, Murrieta and Wildomar, that are also offering $49 facials on that day, with $15 donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every facial as well.   Space is limited, so call for an appointment today  and in the spirit of the cause, bring your mother, your sister, your best friend and your spouse.

Massage Envy’s goal is to raise $500,000 from this event.  Since the first Massage for the Cure event in 2005, Massage Envy has already raised over $1,400,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.   Last year, Massage for the Cure raised over $500,000 in one day!

This year more than 180,000 women and men in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will lose their lives to the disease. A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes and the disease claims another life every 13 minutes.  Massage Envy is proud to partner with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to fight this disease.

Thanks to events like Massage Envy’s Massage for the Cure and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, more than $1 billion have been invested to support breast cancer education, screening and treatment initiatives and in the search for a cure.
